Medical Assistant Ad:
We are a small Neurology practice in need for a medical assistant to help our small team. We see patients suffering from Neurologic disorders, including headaches, dementia, seizures, strokes, pinched nerves.

We are looking for a medical assistant with great multitasking and people skills.

Responsibilities include:

-Processing new patient paperwork
-Verifying insurances
-Checking out patients with start on imaging/drug authorizations
-Understanding the basics of billing to collect copays and billing payments from patients before their visit
-Comfortable with patient interaction with a kind demeanor.

- Making appointments: new/cancel/reschedule. For new patients, verifying insurance.
- Faxing records as needed
- Triaging phone calls to different dept (authorization, billing, botox) as needed
- Able to multi-task with multiple incoming calls at the same time
- Collecting payments over the phone
- Confirming patient appointments
- Calling referrals to schedule new appointments

-Processing authorizations for imaging and medications.

Candidate must have good communication skills, be a team player, and thrive under pressure as things can often times get busy. We are a positive team that is more than willing to train anybody with the right work ethic and desire to succeed.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
